Origin of College – Credit goes to Shri B M Patil whose contribution for setting up educational institutions with the aim to serve the society by providing education through schools & colleges deserves a big salute from one and all.

This all started in the year 1910 with the forming of BLDE Association, a charitable association consisting of philanthropists and benevolent persons encouraging Shri B M Patil to pioneer and lead BLDE Association.

After establishing various educational institutions for so many years, BLDE Association established Shri BM Patil Medical College at Bijapur, Karnataka in the year 1986, named after Shri B M Patil, renowned statesman and visionary.

MBBS, MD, MS, MCh & Diploma Courses – The UG course is MBBS. The PG courses are in PG Diploma, MD, MS & MCh.
